The problem

Once or twice a month, American Express offer their cardholders exclusive pre-sale offers on tickets for theatre performances, film premieres, ballet and concerts. This includes acts like the Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Usher, Guns n Roses, NFT productions and BFi.


The pre-sale deal is typically negotiated and agreed very late which means the lead times for producing assets are very tight. Often there is as little as 48 hours to deliver a fully integrated 360 campaign consisting of national press, multiple emails, numerous banners and more.    


American Express wanted a campaign of the highest quality that could still be delivering with speed and agility.

The solution

At RedWorks we began by methodically auditing all previous campaign materials in order to discover the key commonalities. Using this information we created a suite of elements and templates which allowed us to quickly incorporate the artist or event-specific artwork and copy. This structured approach means we can work to a 24 hour turnaround deadline whilst maintaining consistency across all campaigns and media channels.


What’s more production costs are kept to a minimum, and the need for re-work and amends is eliminated. In addition our process allows time for multiple approvals within American Express and the artist management.
